The Research Center of Natural Resources of the Amazon is an Office of Scientific Research in the field of natural resources belonging to the UNAP, which seeks to generate scientific and technological knowledge by conducting basic and applied research, disciplinary, multidisciplinary and agency, framed in the research. In this Research Centre different professionals working in the field of science and engineering, to conduct research, then research laboratories are grouped in a special unit under the research field, equipped with special technology research, which help the work, facilitate processes and improve waiting times and outcomes, these teams are the main components that researchers working in laboratories, and other complementary components as research materials, furniture, fixtures and other supporting components. What is desired is to control the materials and equipment specifically for these components work, to give them a proper use, efficient and effective. The computer system of "Material Control and Investigation Teams" for this office to control materials and research equipment are scattered in different laboratories in six specialized units. The proposed solution has been implemented in the programming language Visual Basic.NET 2010 under the layered architecture: data, business and presentation, respectively, using the paradigm of OOP. To design and build the database manager used the database SQL Server 2012. The methodology used for software development process was the RUP (Rational Unified Proccess) model or template for the system used the UML (Unified Modeling Language). Finally the computer system solves the problems presented in the research labs, allowing for a structured inventory, generating the necessary reports and records the outputs of the research components. The results obtained were, if we percentage terms, ie without time difference between the system and system time, there being a 60% savings in regard to materials records. As the search for a savings component serious research 99.34% of time saved. With respect to materials savings achieved 75.8%.
