The research was carried out with the purpose of determining the opportune moment of hilling and its influence on the anchorage of gynophores (nails) to improve the quantitative yield of grains in the cultivation of Arachis hypogaea L. groundnut variety purple. The research was carried out at the facilities of the Zungarococha estate of the Faculty of Agronomy. Loreto Department, Maynas Province, San Juan District. For the purpose of the trial, the design of complete random blocks with four treatments and four blocks was used, making a total of 16 plots (Experimental Units). The following variables were evaluated: Plant height (cm.), Pod length, pod width (cm.), Seed width (cm.), Seed length (cm.), Number of pods per plant, weight of 100 seeds, fresh weight (Pod + Grain), dry weight (Pod + Grain), seed weight (Treatment), yield (t / ha). From the results obtained, it was determined that the T3 treatment (hilling at 45 dds) had higher averages in the parameters of plant height, pod length, seed width, seed length, fresh pod weight, pod dry weight, grain weight / plot and yield (t / ha), but that were not statistically significant in each of these. Likewise, the hilling carried out in the treatments (T1, T2, T3 and T4) favored the anchorage of gynophores in the soil, with the T3 treatment standing out in higher averages (hilling at 45 d.d.s). Having observed that the cultivation of Arachis hypogaea L. peanut, purple variety, requires a well-removed soil to have enough air and water, without excess water to facilitate the growth of its gynophores.
