OBJECTIVE: To determine the level of radiological protection knowledges and its association with the sociodemographics factors in medical students of the last cycles of the WFH in 2019. METHODOLOGY: The type of study was Prospective, Non-experimental, Transversal and Analytical. The sample of 150 students of human medicine from the sixth cycle of the medical school of the National University of the Peruvian Amazon. The study was carried out in the School of Medicine of the UNAP where the level of knowledge regarding radiological protection was measured through a pre-validated survey. RESULTS: The level of radiological protection knowledges of students of human medicine of the National University of the Peruvian Amazon was a medium-high level. With respect to the sociodemographics factors, the population from 30 to 49 years old, presented 4 times more the risk of to have low level of knowledge, while female sex, the students that study cycles IX, X, XI, XII and those that approved the subject ago a period long of time presented 3 times more the risk same. And those students that not received training presented 8 times more risk of to have low level of knowledge of radiological protection compared with those that if they trained. CONCLUSIONS: The level of knowledge found in the students of human medicine of the National University of the Peruvian Amazon was a medium-high level. The sociodemographics factors that had low level of knowledge in radiological protection were: the age of 30 to 49 years (OR=4), female sex (OR=3), students who studied the study cycles IX, X, XI, XII (OR=3), those that approved the subject ago a period long of time (OR=3) and those who did not receive training (OR=8).
