The Faculty of Engineering and Information Systems, is a component of the UNAP, created in humanistic and comprehensive training, quality and excellence in the field of Systems Engineering and Computer Science, with an emphasis on social order to contribute to sustainable development Amazon and the world. Withín its organizational structure is Academic Secretary's office, on which this project took. The functions of the Academic Secretary of interest for the development of this practical work is document management (receiving, deriving and saving documents ); these processes are done manually recorded in the notebook charges, resulting tedious, complicated and problematic when finding the required documents. Faced with this problem a computer system to register, receive, derive, store and view documents was implemented; ali information of these processes are recorded in a database, which will allow their location in consultation and reporting. Rational Unified Process (RUP) was used as a development methodology, based modeling language notation Unified Modeling Language (UML) based on the Rational Rose modeling software. For free software implementation of the system was used: Apache web server, PHP programming language and MySQL database server data. The main features of the computer system are: easy to use, user friendly search, attachments and print sheet charge. The system has been evaluated according to the methodology SUS (System Usability Scale ), the computer system has an acceptance score of 96.25 compared to 90.00 regarding the usability and effectiveness, on a scale from O to l 00 according to survey users when using the system. With an implanted computer system, it was determined that the average time to register a document is greater than the manual system (04:05 mio I doc and 1:34 mio I dee); because the computer system is used additionally in a while scanning the document and this poses no disadvantage, since having the document in digital file, its location will be quick. With respect to the search query or document, the computer system will be able to reduce the search time of the document in a 00:32 mio I doc. against a 02:40 mio / doc. the manual system; ensuring faster locate and obtain information.
