Conocimientos y actitudes sobre donación de sangre en estudiantes de la Universidad Científica del Perú - sede Iquitos, años 2017-2018

Abstract

El estudio tuvo como finalidad determinar la relación entre conocimientos y actitudes sobre la donación de sangre en los estudiantes de la Universidad Científica del Perú, sede Iquitos 2017-2018. Se realizó el estudio descriptivo - correlacional. La muestra estuvo constituida por 341 estudiantes. Para medir el nivel de conocimientos se aplicó un cuestionario; y para medir las actitudes se aplicó un test tipo Likert. Los resultados abordados fueron los siguientes: el 42.5% de los estudiantes encuestados fueron varones y el 57.5% fueron mujeres. El 37.2 % trabaja y el 62,8 % no trabaja. El 41.1% no sabe qué tipo de grupo sanguíneo es, el 58.9 % sí lo sabe. Asimismo, el nivel de actitud sobre donación de sangre de los estudiantes de la Universidad Científica del Perú, el 2.1% (7) su actitud fue aceptable, el 52.5% (179) su actitud fue poco aceptable y el 45.5% (155) fue nada aceptable. También se encontró en el presente estudio que el nivel de conocimiento sobre donación de sangre de los estudiantes de la Universidad Científica del Perú, que el 2.3% (8) su evaluación del conocimiento fue muy buena, el 13.8% (47) su evaluación del conocimiento fue buena, el 22.6% (77) fue regular y el 61.3 % (209) la evaluación fue deficiente. En conclusión se acepta la hipótesis por existir una relación significativa entre los conocimientos y las actitudes sobre la donación de sangre en los estudiantes de la Universidad Científica del Perú, sede Iquitos- 2017-2018.

The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes about blood donation in the students of the Universidad Científica del Perú, Iquitos headquarters 2017-2018. The descriptive-correlational study was carried out. The sample consisted of 341 students. To measure the level of knowledge, a questionnaire was applied; and to measure attitudes a Likert test was applied. The results addressed were the following: 42.5% of the students surveyed were male and 57.5% were female. 37.2% work and 62.8% do not work. 41.1% do not know what type of blood group is, 58.9% if they know it. Likewise, the level of attitude about blood donation of the students of the Universidad Científica del Perú, 2.1% (7) their attitude was acceptable, 52.5% (179) their attitude was not acceptable and 45.5% (155) was nothing acceptable. It was also found in the present study that the level of knowledge about blood donation of the students of the Universidad Cientifica del Peru, that 2.3% (8) their evaluation of knowledge was very good, 13.8% (47) their evaluation of the knowledge was good, 22.6% (77) was fair and 61.3% (209) the evaluation was poor. In conclusion, the hypothesis is accepted because there is a significant relationship between knowledge and attitudes about blood donation in the students of the Scientific University of Peru, Iquitos headquarters- 2017-2018
