Swartzia polyphylla A.P.C (cumaceba), belongs to the family Fabaceae, it has an pure oil which can be extracted from duramen which is almost 60% of the weight of the biomass plant. The pure oil was isolated with petroleum ether and once the oil is isolated in a essential way it was studied in a high resolution of chromatography gases equipment, it was attached to a mass Spectrometer ( HRGC – MS ), it was identified 22 aromatics components from sesquiterpenoid nature ( C15 structure) and doesn´present components of monoterpenoid nature. In the chromatogram was observed the presence of an unknown diterpeno ( C20H30O5), that is composed with a low polarity; This was separated in a time of retention (Tr) of 118.98 minutes because is a molecule C20 heavier than C15 and its vapor pressure is pitiful which usually happens when the pressure vapor of a substance is higher and volatilizes quickly. However it was found volatil components with a high pressure of resolution or a minor time of retention (Tr), it is the case of capaeno which has a value of time of retention 47, 54 minutes, comparing with the diterpeno that has a time of retention 118, 98 minutes. The oleoríferos, components which were found in a big quantity are: ∞-cadineno: 30.75%, t-cadineno: 15.70%, isoledeno: 5.55%. In consequence, the characteristic that has the pure oil of Swartzia polyphylla A.P.C. (cumaceba) is given for the mixture of ∞-cadineno, t-cadineno, isoledeno.
