The present investigation was carried out in the Ucayali river basin, in the areas near the Jenaro Herrera community. The objective of the study was to study the variability in the migration process of the Ucayali River near the village of Jenaro Herrera. As a result of the hydrodynamic and morphological measurements, it is shown that the bathymetry of the Ucayali River presents important depths compared to other areas. This indicates that the meander should migrate, but due to the geology of the area where JH is located, the migration is Suppressed. However, it is observed in the cut zone, which has important depths, suggesting a constant migration of the river. The velocity vectors indicate that the contours showing the shear forces exerted near the JH area are significant indicate that the section will continue to migrate. The results of the granulometric analyzes indicate that both the bottom sediment and the margin obtained from the cut zone is characteristic of sandy loam soil, indicating that they are considered as a complex of hillsides, also indicating that this zone tends to migrate . The results obtained through remote sensing, analysis of migration rates and field measurements indicate that the Jenaro Herrera curve will cut in the next few years. This is important to describe, since the authorities must take action to prevent the town of Jenaro Herrera from being isolated from the Ucayali river, and carry out preventive work on communities, adjustments in future infrastructure projects and other activities that are Would be affected and thus adapt to the natural migration of the river.
