The purpose of this research was to differentiate eating habits and nutritional status at the beginning and end of the holiday period in schoolchildren aged 6 to 12 years of the I.E. No. 601331 of February 13. It is a non-experimental investigation, with a longitudinal, comparative design; He had a sample of 80 children, to obtain the data instruments were used as a survey on eating habits, and nutritional assessment form, blood samples were also taken to determine the level of hemoglobin. Obtaining results such as, of all schoolchildren evaluated (53.8%) presents unhealthy eating habits, before the holiday period, and (76.2%) of unhealthy eating habits, after the holiday period; students with short stature (21.2%) were also identified before the holiday period, after the vacation period, (13.7%) reported short stature, and hemoglobin levels were reported below normal before the holiday period, in one (15 % and 20%) mild and moderate anemia respectively, and after the holiday period the percentages of mild and moderate anemia increased by (36.3% and 28.8%) respectively. Inferential analysis was also performed using the T test statistic, where it is said that if there is a statistically significant difference at a 95% confidence level and with a P value of 0.002, between eating habits before and after the holiday period; in the same way with a confidence level of 95% and with a P value of 0.013, between the nutritional state of the beginning and end of the holiday period; We also have that at a 95% confidence level, and with a P value of 0.000, there is a significant difference between the level of hemoglobin at the beginning and end of the vacation period of the schoolchildren evaluated.
