This study aimed to determine the consequences generally more prevalent after treatment in patients with mandibular fractures treated at the Regional Hospital of Lo reto during the period 2006 to 2009. The methodology was not experimental, transversal, descriptive and retrospective. The study sample consisted of 38 patients with mandibular fractures, we first collected data from medica! records of each patient, then proceeded to locate and underwent clinical evaluation each of them. The instrument used was the Data Collection Sheet validated by experts opinion. The results were the following: Changes in occlusion are the most prevalent sequelae after treatment of fractures of the jaw with 56.4%, within it the lack of gear is the most prevalent with 81.6% (31 cases), followed by changes in ATM level with a 42.2% (16 cases). Facial asymmetries were less prevalent sequelae with .. 7.9% (3 cases). The type of fracture that had higher number of sequelae was parasinfisiaria fracture with 26.4 %. the type of treatment with the non-rigid fixation with BIM - Erick Are had the greater number of sequels 60.5% (23 patients). With regard to the etiology of mandibular fractures was observed that traffic accidents occur more sequels with 86.7% (26 patients).
