This study was conducted in the experimental field "El Dorado" - Km 25, road Iquitos Nauta. (Floor height); at an altitude of 139 meters above sea level, latitude 03º57'26 '' and a length of 73º24'43''. This area is characterized by an average temperature of 26°C, 83 to 85% relative humidity and 2,932 mm. annual rainfall evenly distributed throughout the year. The aim of the study was to determine the appropriate seeding density to improve the quantitative performance and qualitative characteristics of Solanum sessiliflorum Dunal (Cocona). From the study results we have that flowering occurred between 55 to 60 days after transplanting to final field, presenting a uniform fruiting; being the percentage of plants harvested 90 to 95%. In kg/ha performance, it is observed that the T2 (1.5 mx 1.5 m) had a density of 4.444 pl/ha with 9,639.11Kg/ha, achieving the highest performance, followed by T1 (2.0 x 2.0 m) with a pl/ha density of 2,500, with 8,450 kg/ha; T4 (1.5 m x 1.0 m) with a density of 6,666 pl./ha with 7,480.00 kg/ha; and finally the T3 (2.0 m x 1.0 m) with a density of 5.000 pl/ha with 7294.44 kg/ha, respectively. This esudio has finally allowed us to identify planting density to apply in commercial plantations, taking into account relevant agricultural work which will lead us to obtain satisfactory yield fruit.
