The analytical study is cross-sectional, self structured surveys to 400 schoolchildren in three high schools in the Bethlehem district, Statistical analysis was with measures of central tendency is used, the association was measured by calculating the square Chi; and estimating the risk or prevalence by calculating the prevalence ratio (PR). The study was conducted in the months of July to September 2015, in order to determine the risk factors associated with the onset of alcohol use in adolescents students. Grouped in 400 randomly selected students, the sampling was in two stages, the first stage was random sampling; the second stage was cluster sampling, in proportional strata, each school was considered stratum. Obtaining that of all students surveyed 67.2% started drinking at this stage. Risk factors for these teenagers are the alcoholic environment, such as parents, siblings, friends and colleagues. The earlier onset of alcohol use is situated between 11 and 13 years (8.6%); as the male sex was more prevalent than women (2: 1). As the association of alcoholic environment with the onset of alcohol use, it was shown that the prevalence of the father as a consumer of alcoholic beverages increased 2.8 times. The older the prevalence of onset of alcohol increases; plus males started drinking alcoholic beverages more early and more often observed a ratio of 2/1 females; it was determined that the highest prevalence of onset of alcohol consumption among teenagers Third, fourth and fifth grade of secondary education. The presence of alcohol use or alcoholic environment where parents, siblings, friends and colleagues, increases the risk or prevalence of the start of alcoholic drinks use by high school students in the Belen district.
