The Caja Municipal de Ahorro y Crédito de Maynas S.A. is an entity that carries out financial intermediation, capturing resources from the public through different types of savings, subject to a low interest rate (passive interest rate), and placed by means of loans charging a high interest rate (active interest rate). The difference between active interest less passive interest is the so-called financial spread and constitutes the main income of the institution. The objective of the research is to determine the relationship between the deposits and placements of the institution, during the period 2014 - 2018. Oriented for this purpose, the present study of Quantitative type (by its nature), Correlational level and design Non-Experimental, analyzing the relationship between captures and placements. The results of the investigation show that there is a direct, statistically significant relationship between the captures (independent variable) and the placements (dependent variable), endorsed by the calculation of the Correlation Coefficient r = 0.869915368; and of the Determination Coefficient R2 = 0.756752748; concluding that the Deposits determine the behavior of the Loans. The largest deposits were made through Term Deposits (62.82%), resources that stay for longer in the institution without pressure; and Placements through Mypes credit (54.45%) for business purposes.
