The purpose of the present investigation was to evaluate the existing occupational diseases due to the exposure to the elements of the climate (temperature) of the personnel of the Faculty of Agronomy of a public university of Loreto in the year 2018. Twenty field workers of the different teaching and research workshops of the Faculty of Agronomy, a data collection card of work accidents and occupational diseases was used. The entire population was male. 30% of workers are aged 50 years and over. 60% have an educational level up to secondary studies. 75% perform tasks of crop management, furrows, plant and vegetable seeding; 90% indicate that there are no training programs according to the activities they develop, the working day is 40 hours on average per week, 90% are not exposed to high noise levels, 95% are exposed to extreme temperatures, 75% do not have personal protective equipment (helmet, gloves, boots). When applying the registry of occupational diseases, it was evidenced that the administration of the farm of the Faculty of Agronomy does not keep records of work accidents and occupational diseases, which made it difficult for us to relate the type of illness reported with different months of the year, which is why the hypothesis proposed in the present research work is accepted.
