Siparuna guianensis Aublet plant species of the Amazon forest whose leaves were studied and are used to treat stomach disorders, headaches and rheumatism. However, the fruits that contain essential oil have not been studied. The purpose of this work was to isolate and characterize the essential oil of the fruits of S. guianensis Aublet collected in the community of Nina Rumi, San Juan Bautista, Maynas, Loreto. By means of two combined methods, squeezing and extraction with solvents, the essential oil was obtained. The physicochemical characterization was carried out by determining the physicochemical parameters and by means of chromatographic analysis with mass spectrometry, the number of components, retention time and percentage abundance were determined. Physicochemical tests gave the following results: density 0.8563 g / cm3, refractive index 1.54, positive alcohol solubility. 19 components were determined, five monoterpenes, four sesquiterpenes, four unknown hydrocarbons and six derivatives of fatty acids. The monoterpenes give the characteristic odor to the fruit while the sesquiterpenes the persistence of the odor.
