The study area is located within the jurisdiction of the District of San Juan Bautista, where is located the Health Center of the Southern District Microred Iquitos. The area is located in the northeastern part of Peru, in the natural region called lowlands or Omagua, which stands at 126 meters Politically it is in the province of Maynas, Loreto Region. The aim of this study was to make the diagnosis and management of solid waste management in the health centers of the Microgrid of San Juan, San Juan District, Region Loreto. Of the techniques used for solid waste management in health centers of the study, these are not met in full, a situation that does not guarantee positive benefits in terms of health and the environment. Most health centers had no cans and bags of color according to the area of attention, they do not have personal protective equipment (PPE) and elements necessary for handling different materials and people. In the checklist for solid waste management in health-Red San Juan are the steps: In preparation, separation and storage and staging are health centers with acceptable category (CS San Juan, Los Delfines, El paujil, Varillal, America, Santa Clara de Nanay); Poor (CS Rumo Cocha, Santa Clara and Zungaro Cocha), very poor (CS Cahuide, Villa Buen Pastor, Santo Tomas, Quisto Cocha, Moralillo). As for transport or internal collection: Ok Category (CS The Varillal) poor (CS San Juan, El Curassow, Los Delfines, America, Santa Clara de Nanay, Quisto Cocha, Moralillo); very poor (CS Cahuide, Villa Buen Pastor, Rumo Cocha, Santo Tomas Cocha Zúngaro) and category of final storage, treatment and external collection: Poor (Quisto Cocha) Very poor (CS Cahuide, Villa Buen Pastor, America, Santo Tomas , Moralillo and Zungaro Cocha); passable (CS Los Delfines, Rumo Cocha, Santa Clara de Nanay) and satisfactory (CS San Juan, El Curassow, The Varillall). On knowledge on solid waste management in the targeted population or users of these health facilities, it is concluded that the villagers contribute little knowledge on the subject, so a proposed management plan should be an integral vision that governed by the principles of prevention, minimization and environmental protection.
