The present study was carried out in the community of El Chino located in the Tahuayo River of the district of Fernando Lores located near the Tamshiyacu Tahuayo Communal Regional Conservation Area with the purpose of determining the commercialization forms and the economic income resulting from the sale of handicrafts made fiber of Astrocaryum chambira ("chambira") in the community of "El Chino". The information was collected directly through semi-structured surveys, visits to the collection sites and observation of the whole process of commercialization of "chambira" fiber crafts. A non-inferential descriptive statistic was used It is concluded that the "chambira" is the main palm used by the people who make crafts in El Chino. The extraction of the raw material is done in a familiar way but the elaboration of the crafts is clearly feminine. The main elaborated crafts are "jicras", "paneras" and "hammocks". All mention that they carry out reforestation on an annual basis and the average monthly income is S / 50 to S /. 100 soles as a product of the sale of crafts.
