The chicken is the main food for the Peruvian, they came to represent 53% of the total consumed meat, followed by fish (31%), beef (8%), pigs (6%) and sheep (2%), according as published by the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation (MINAGRI). In addition, per capita consumption in 2013 reached 39 kilos, being Lima department with the highest reaching 60 kg. The situation is no different in the city of Iquitos. Although there is an important supply of fish from Amazonian rivers and fish farms, villagers prefer chicken meat. The increase in demand for chicken in Iquitos comes from population growth due to the relocation of coastal residents to live in the city; in addition, of course the rate of population growth (1.80%), according to the INEI; higher than the rate of 1.5% nationally. When the market for the production and marketing of poultry products is analyzed, you can tell that it is heavily concentrated in a single company, called "Don Pollo Loreto SAC.", Which produces about 80% of the supply of chicken (22, 000 chickens a day). However, there is a marketing chain that makes the price increase substantially to reach the final consumer. For example, there are wholesalers who supply retailers are supermarkets, chicken restaurants, etc., which makes the price increases by more than 100% on the price of farm. Because of this, the company has sales outlets in the city for the purpose of obviating some links in the marketing chain, and place the product at a lower price. In this regard, the General Problem is formulated as follows: How marketing chicken is done in the city of Iquitos, in the period 2015?
