It was determined the factors associated with the onset of sexual activity in adolescents attended at the health center Bellavista Nanay, Punchana-2017, evaluating a sample of 162 adolescents, aged 10 to 19, of both sexes, who went to the establishment. The type of research used was quantitative, the research design was non-experimental, correlational / cross-sectional. The technique was the interview (for the application of the questionnaire individual, family and social factors associated with the initiation of sexual activity in adolescents, which was submitted to expert judgment for their respective validity 90% and reliability 95%; measured attitudes and opinions that identified the psychological and emotional state of the adolescent). The statistical program used was SPSS version 22.0, performing univariate analysis expressed in tables of relative and absolute frequencies, bivariate analysis and tests of statistical hypotheses with a confidence interval at 95% and level of significance α = 0.05. A total of 53.7% of the adolescents were female and 46.3% were male. At the same time, 48.1% were grouped in the middle adolescence and 22.8% in the late adolescence. All these results allowed us to conclude that there is an association with the beginning of adolescent sexual activity in: age (p=0.000), school repetition (p=0.038), low self-esteem and low average self-esteem (p=0.012); in the familiar: degree of instruction of the parents at the secondary level (p=0.006), presence of both parents (p=0.000), family dysfunctionality (p=0.000) and in the social: influence of pairs (p=0.000), information on sexual health (p=0.343) is provided by the mother being the same who supports in the solution of problems with (p=0.528). No association was found with: sex, media about sexuality, problem solving support and free time.
