This research was conducted in the city of Yurimaguas, with the purpose of evaluating the effect of the use of three organic fertilizers on the agronomic characteristics of elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Cameroon) in Yurimaguas-Alto Amazonas. Plant height, green matter and dry matter were evaluated. The design was the Completely Random Blocks (DBCA), with 4 treatments and 4 repetitions, with a significance level of 0.05. For the analysis of the averages, the DUNCAN test at 5% significance was used. The treatments were T0: No fertilizer; T1: Vacaza 20 Ton / Ha (32 Kg / 16m2); T2: Pollinaza 20 Ton / Ha (32 Kg / 16 m2) and T3: Cuyaza 20 Ton / Ha (32 Kg / 16m2). The results achieved were the following: the averages obtained referring to the height of the plant, it is observed that the T0: 0.901 m, T1: 1.288 m, T2: 1.23 and T3: 1.39 m. There are significant differences (P <0.05) between treatments. In green matter the treatments obtained values of T0: 8500, T1: 27125, T2: 24875 and T3: 29875. The statistical analysis shows significant statistical differences (P <0.05) between the blocks and the treatments. For dry matter, the general averages achieved are T0: 1590.175, T1: 3753.03, T2: 3882.755 and T3: 4506.4 Kg of dry matter / ha. The statistical analysis showed significant statistical differences (P <0.05) between T0 and treatments with fertilizer incorporation (T1, T2 and T3), but no statistical difference was found between the latter. Therefore, the hypothesis is accepted, where the use of the three fertilizers has a favorable effect on the Purple Elephant grass, and it is concluded that the T3 treatment (cuyaza) presented the best results.
