The purpose of this study was to compare in vitro the two instrumentation techniques Protaper and K3 rotary systems in shaping the root canal in lower molars. We used 60 pieces of teeth, which were randomly divided into two groups: the first group working with the system of rotating Protaper files and the second group with the K3 rotary systems files. The instrumentation was performed in the mesiobuccal canals with moderate to severe curvature according to Schneider by Crown Down technique and the engine X-Smart. For comparison study of the shaping of the root canal of the lower molars to take into account the variation of the initial and final angle by Schneider with the system and the system Protaper K3, to evaluate this point he had to take 120 radiographies with Radiovisiography to trace and measure the angles of the instrumented canal curvature {mesiobuccal). The obtained results were that the initial average angle of the root canals instrumented with the Protaper System was of 24.27° and the final average angle was of 16, 37°; whereas the initial average angle to the root canals instrumented with K3 system was 24,47° and the final average angle from the conformation of the canal was of 19, 07°. For the average final angle from the root canals in molars instrumented with the Protaper and K3 System, there was significant difference. The time spent in shaping the root canal instrumented with the Protaper System, used an average time of 713.33 seconds and the final average time used with K3 system was 1067.47 seconds. In it appreciates a difference to favor of the Protaper System.
