This research study was to describe the clinical and epidemiological characteristics in patients with Severe Dengue treated at the Iquitos Support Hospital "Garayar Cesar Garcia" periods 2011 to 2013. The study was descriptive, retrospective cross-sectional design; the study population was constituted 57 cases of Dengue Grave, who in turn formed the study sample (100%). The instrument used was the "Clinical Characterization Sheet - Dengue Epidemiological Grave" and the technique used was the "document review" secondary sources (clinical history), which allowed to explore in all cases of Severe Dengue clinical and epidemiological manifestations the patients. The instrument obtained a valid driveability 99.04% and 95.4%. 94.7% of cases of Dengue Severe hypotension presented as the most frequent cause for shock plasma extravasation criteria; 84.2% and 59.6% ascites polypnea criterion as causes fluid accumulation with respiratory distress; 73.7% 52.6% epistaxis and gingival as the criterion causes profuse bleeding and encephalopathy was 26.8% for the criterion organ involvement; followed by myocardiopathya with 10,5%;on the other hand 80.7% were between 31 to 60 years of age; 57.9% were female; 43.9% reported high school degree; 47.4% came from urban areas; 50.9% reported dependent occupation and 70.2% had a history of dengue; 84.2% of cases were diagnostic PCR and 80.7% by IgM.
