This research study was to determine the relationship between socioeconomic factors, demographic, cultural and nutritional status in children 3-5 years of IEIN No. 691 "glimmer of hope" Punchana, 2010. The method was quantitative and nonexperimental, cross-correlation. The sample consisted of 147 (100%) children between three and five years as determined by probability sampling, simple random type, for which they applied the formula of proportions, for finite populations. The instruments used were a questionnaire on socioeconomic, demographic, questionnaire on knowledge of the mother, child identification card with a validity of 85%, respectively, and 88.4% reliability Likewise the data were analyzed using the statistical package SPSS version 18.0. Among the findings are that 72.8% mothers had separate jobs, 61.2% of mothers have secondary education, 68.7% had steady partners, 68.0% reported having low family income, 67.8% found in young adult age, 73.5% had inadequate knowledge, 26.5% had adequate knowledge about infant feeding. With regard to nutritional status: 59.9% of children are malnourished, 40.1% have normal nutritional status. It was found that body regarding the nutritional status and socioeconomic and demographic factors- cultural: the mother's occupation (p = 0.000), level of education of the mother (p = 0.013), mother's marital status (p = 0.000), income of the mother (p = 0.000), maternal age (p = 0.007) level of knowledge ofthe mother(p=O.OOl).
