The objective was to determine the variables associated with Chikungunya prevention in adults settlers Masusa-Nanay port, Punchana district of the city of Iquitos 2016. The method used was quantitative and non-experimental design correlational. The population were 987 persons of both sexes aged 20 to 60 years and the sample were 276 people with the same characteristics as the study population, obtained by stratified probability sampling with proportional allocation. The techniques were interview and direct observation, and the instruments were the questionnaire (Validity 99% and reliability 93%), and the observation guide (Validity 89% and reliability 85%). The data were analyzed using SPSS version. 22.0 The inferential statistical test Chi Square was, with α = 0.05 and confidence level of 95% the results are as follows:. At age 68.8% (190) people young adults (20-34 years of age was found ); in sex 69.9% (193) female persons in educational attainment 70.3% (194) people less educated, occupancy 62.7% (173) persons working within he found home, housing type 88.8% (245) people with no adequate housing, knowledge and 71.4% (197) people with knowledge of Chikungunya incorrect. They will not prevent Chikungunya disease 78.3% (216) people. Finally the conclusion was: between the prevention of Chikungunya with age (p = 0.000), sex (p: 0.010), level of education (p = 0.000), housing type (p: 0.010), occupation (p: 0.022) knowledge (p: 0.000
