The present investigation aimed to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about HIV 1 AIDS and strategies to provide information on preventive measures, which employ teachers Mixed Secondary Educational Institutions: Osear R. Mariscal Benavides, National College of Iquitos, Rosa Agustina Donayre of Morey and Lower Secondary Education Center Loreto in Iquitos - 2010. The method used was the quantitative and nonexperimental correlational. The population was 180 teachers, Mixed Secondary Educational Institutions in the city of lquitos 2010, the sample consisted of 124 teachers, which was obtained by stratified sampling with proportional allocation. The technique was the survey and the instruments were the questionnaire on HIV 1 AIDS (90% validity, reliability 86%) and Transfer Strategies Guide (validity 80%, reliability 78%). Data were analyzed using the SPSS 18.0. The statistical test used for the testing of the hypothesis was nonparametric inferential statistics Chi-square = 0.05 and a confidence level of 95%.a(X2), with The most important fmdings were as follows: 71% (88) teachers in secondary educational institutions reached mixed inadequate knowledge about HIV 1 AIDS. 71% (88) teachers in secondary educational institutions reached mixed inadequate strategies to provide information on preventive measures of HIV 1 AIDS. In establishing the relationship between knowledge about HIV 1 AlDS and strategies to provide information on preventive measures, we obtained significant results, X2c = 40.209, X2T = 3.84, a= 0.05: With this result the assumption adopted adf = 1 research, ie, there is significan! relationship between knowledge about HIV 1 AIDS and strategies to impart information of preventive measures by teachers in lE Mixed Secondary in the city of lquitos. The findings of this research tools provide information on the development of interactive strategies, aimed at controlling and reducing HIV 1 AIDS, strengthen the strategies of education and health sector, to improve sex education for young people. Likewise, the tools developed will be used in studies with similar populations and in turn the research will be the basis for intervention studies.
