This study aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge of oral health and oral hygiene in multiparous served in the office of Obstetrics Health Center October 6th, 2012 Villa Belem. The research was quantitative; the design was correlational, crossover. The sampling was not probabilistic, was examined according to multiparous arrival met at Obstetric office, which by formula it was more than 122 multiparous as a sample. The instrument used to identify the level of knowledge was the data collection sheet level of oral health knowledge in Pregnant Health Center, October 6th. To identify the Oral Hygiene Index was used the Varmillioms & Greennes Universal Index, and both were recovered by use. The multiparous were evaluated and examined in order of arrival. Among the most important facts, it was found that: the multiparous of 7 and 8 months of pregnancy were the most frequent (18.03%), young age (68.85%), with a high school max education (50.82%); featuring a Regular Oral Health Knowledge level in 65.57%, found no statistical evidence that the level of knowledge about oral health depends on the age group of multiparous but maintaining the Regular Oral Health Knowledge level, with educational attainment. On the level of oral hygiene was obtained, an acceptable oral hygiene in 51.64% remaining a poor oral hygiene in 44.26%, prevailing multiparous with Oral Hygiene Regular to Poor. Those with proper hygiene were very low (4, 10%). Between the oral hygiene level and the knowledge of Oral Health level in multiparous, was obtained a bad Knowledge level prevailing an acceptable Oral Hygiene in 21.31%, against poor hygiene (13.11 %) but ifthe Multiparous improves their knowledge, the poor oral hygiene level increase considerably, from 31.15% to 13.11%. This indicates that the level of oral hygiene for multiparous is independent of Oral Health Knowledge level, so there is no statistically significant relationship with the level of hygiene.
