Cutaneous mycoses are infections caused by pathogenic fungi that occur in keratin tissues, representing a real public health problem in our region and the world, due to lack of research on the prevalence of etiological agents, which allows us to have more treatment specific and not generic. The objective of this investigation was to determine the prevalence of cutaneous mycoses in the settlers of the Human Settlements of Villa Disnarda and Primavera. The morphology of the fungus was determined by direct examination by microscopy. The identification of gender and species was carried out in culture media with Sabouraud Glucose agar. The determination of sporogenic fungi was performed with the wet chamber technique. For the taxonomic classification, the identification keys of Conant, Smith, Baker and Callaway, Zapater, Bejar and Campomanes were used. The most frequent mycoses were reported Tiña pedis (37.3%) and Tiña capitis (24%), soon from onychomycosis with a prevalence of 16%, finally Tiña corporis and Tiña nanum with 16% and 6.7% respectively. The main agents responsible for these infections in both human settlements were the following dermatophyte species: Trichophyton mentagrophytes, with a prevalence of 26.7%, species with the highest presence of cutaneous mycosis, following Trichophyton rubrum and Microsporum gypseum with 21.3% each, Epidermophytom floccosum and Microsporum nanum obtained 4% prevalence each, finally Trichophyton verrucosum obtained a 2.7% prevalence. Cutaneous mycoses are present in 33% of the population studied, the most prevalent mycoses were Tiña Pedis (37.3%) and Tiña Capitis (24%).
