The present research aimed to determine the efficacy of educational intervention on oral health and its effect on the level of knowledge in mothers of babies from 0 to 12 months in ACLAS C.S. I-3 Cardozo in the year 2017. The study design was Experimental; Quasi-experimental, correlational, quantitative. The study population was represented by all the mothers of babies from 0 to 12 months who had scheduled their care in May to the health center, which was constituted by 95 mothers of babies from 0 to 12 months. For the sample, statistical formula was not used since all mothers of infants aged 0 to 12 months who came to the Nursing service of the Cardozo Health Center in May were used to complete the sample, who were given the instrument. The data collection sheet was composed of one item, which obtained the results on oral health knowledge. The same was taken before the educational intervention and after the educational intervention. Data from the 95 mothers of 0-12 month old infants treated at ACLAS C.S I-3 Cardozo were analyzed. It was observed that before the educational intervention, the level of good and regular knowledge prevailed in 76.8% and 16.8%, respectively, of mothers with a standard deviation of ± 2.5; The level of knowledge increased after the educational intervention was carried out, obtaining a very good level of knowledge with 81.1% (77) with a tendency towards a good knowledge level and 18.9% (18) standard deviation was ± 1.4. In addition it is observed that the student t test gives a value of tcalculated = 13,803, gl = 44 and p value = 0.000; So there is evidence to reject the null hypothesis and accept the alternative hypothesis; That is to say, the educational intervention is effective raising the level of knowledge in oral health of the mothers of babies
