The objective was to determine the association between the variables: age, sex, schooling and housing with Zika prevention in adults between 18 and 65 years of age of both sexes attended at the Centro de Salud 9 de Octubre during the year 2017.El method used was quantitative and non-experimental design of correlational and transverse type. The population was 300 adults between the ages of 18 and 65 of both sexes. The sample consists of 168 people. Sampling was non-probabilistic for convenience. The techniques were interview and observation, the instrument was the observation guide on Zika prevention (Validity 94.71% and Reliability 90.63%). The data were analyzed with the SPSS 22.0 program. The inferential statistical test was Chi Square (X 2), with α = 0.05 and 95% confidence level. The results indicate that of the 168 adult individuals attended at the 9 de Octubre Health Center in the city of Iquitos in 2017, 90 (53.6%) were older and 78 (46.4%) were younger; 101 (60.1%) were female and 67 (39.9%) were male; 90 (53.6%) had higher schooling and 78 (46.4%) had lower schooling; 158 (94.0%) had inadequate housing and 10 (6.0%) adequate housing. Regarding Zika prevention, 168 (100.0%) were inadequate in 149 (88.7%) and adequate in 19 (11.3%). Conclusion: There is a statistically significant association between age (p = 0.019); sex (p = 0.023); schooling (p = 0.001) and housing (p = 0.000), with Zika's prevention.
