At present, many concentrator plants present problems with the capacity of the grinding circuit due to an increase in circulating load, P80 grinding product and an increase in energy consumption caused by the mineralogical change in the deposit (more competitive minerals - Hardness). With the objective of reducing the economic impact generated by the decrease in the production of concentrates, this research work will use technical models and simulation to execute an optimal sizing of the classification grinding circuit to increase the treatment capacity from 19,600 tpd to 22,000 tpd. optimally. The first stage of the Project will consist of carrying out and validating the models of the equipment used in the 19,600 tpd Base Grinding circuit based mainly on information from screens, to later execute a simulation of a tonnage increase to 22,000 tpd and another with parameter modification. operations to generate metallurgical consistency with the sizing and operation of the equipment. The main metallurgical inconsistency found is the energy deficiency in the ball mill and the classification deficiency in the hydrocyclone (Roping Effect), for which the Vortex/Apex parameters were modified, causing an increase in the P80 produced at Flotation from 180 to 201 microns. Due to the lack of energy available in the circuit to maintain the P80 Grinding product when the simulation is executed at 22,000 tpd, it is necessary to implement new equipment that supplies energy for fracturing the circuit, for which different alternatives were evaluated.
