The goal of the current research was to determine the influence of learning based on projects related to student’s Academic Performance of the Industrial Automation subject from the Professional School of Industrial Engineering of Andina University in Cusco. Enforcing a quantitative approach of explanatory scope, with an experimental design and a quasi- experimental subdesign as a post-test only. The sample is through a census and the type of sampling is non-probabilistic, and it was made up of 59 students, male and female students. The groups were formed according to the enrollment system of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture. They were split into two groups and they were called the experimental group (30 students) and the control group (29 students) respectively. The tool for data collection was the rubric made up of 13 performance indicators. The results revealed that the experimental group got an average and achievement level of 2.44 and 81%, which is between the levels of performance applies and achieves with 93.3% of students. But on the other hand the control group got 1.63 points and 54%, which is between the levels of performance understands and applies with 77.8% of students. From which we conclude that any learning based on projects has significant effects during the process of the Academic Performance of the students of the Industrial Automation subject from the Professional School of Industrial Engineering.
