The purpose of the research was to determine how the demand for credit cards influences the over-indebtedness of customers of the Interbank bank in the city of Cusco, 2018. Regarding the methodology used in the research, it was basic, quantitative approach, of non- experimental design and with descriptive correlational, descriptive scope. The study population was composed of the 4153 clients of the Interbank bank in the city of Cusco, the sample was determined by simple random probabilistic sampling, resulting in 352 clients. On the other hand, the techniques used in the investigation were the documentary review and the survey, the information collection instrument was the questionnaire. Likewise, I use the bivariate logit model to estimate the influence or belonging of an element to one group or another. The results showed that the binomial logit application estimates by maximum likelihood and provides the joint probability of observing the sample obtained from a survey. The investigation concludes that the demand for credit cards has a significant impact on the over-indebtedness of Interbank clients in the city of Cusco - 2018. Age, marital status, income level and interest rate (0.002) influence directly and inversely on the probability of over-indebtedness.
