Objective: To evaluate the ossification of the mid palatal suture in individuals between 16 and 30 years old through cone beam computerized tomography in the city of Cusco, 2018.Methodology: 159 (CBCT) have been evaluated, taken in two types of scanners, the first is a MIRAY 3D, model HIPERION X9 of 75 KV., 15 AMPS, with exposure time of 20 secs. And a window of 11x13 cm., tested with Software Real Scan 2.0. The second scanner was a POINT NIX model Real Scan of 75 KV, 15 Amps, with scanning exposure time of 20 secs., tested with Software Xelis Dental 3D. There were 88 (CBCT) female patients and 72 (CBCT) male patients. The age group was as follows: 34 individuals aged 16 to 20, 54 individuals aged 21 to 25, and 62 individuals aged 26 to 30. In order to carry out the ossification of the mid palatal suture through cone beam computerized tomography, the measuring instrument was used according to Angileri in ossification phases (A, B, C, D). The data found in the (CBCT) was registered in a data collection form. In addition, a SPSS version 25 statistical package was used, at 0.05% of significance, and the Chi-Square Statistic to see the relationship between the variables. Results. - There is no relationship between sex and the ossification stages according to Angilieri, existing an attempt of relationship between the ossification phases and age. Conclusions. - Higher percentage of the ossification stages according to Angileri was Stage C,that means that the ossification stages according to Angelieri are not related to sex. Iit means that the stages of the ossification of Angileri are related to age groups where it can be seen that the higher the age, the higher the ossification. The non-surgical disjunction can be considered in adult patients in stages A, B, C only if there is a right diagnostic and previous tomographic evaluation using the ossification stages of Angilieri as an assessment instrument.
