The present research has as its main goal is to determine the service levels and road capacity of the traffic light and unsignalized intersections of Agustín Gamarra Avenue and Grau avenue extension in the city of Cusco. The objective of the analysis was basically to evaluate the service levels at the intersections when reducing capacity by excluding a lane for public transport service and see if it is feasible or if this section can be maintained and you can Add a new lane to replace the decrease in road capacity. To determine the Road Capacity and Service Levels, field data collection was carried out, which consisted of carrying out vehicle counts at the intersections of this corridor, considering the hours of greatest demand (peak hour). Likewise, it was possible to obtain the geometric characteristics of these two main roads of the city of Cusco with a topographic survey of Agustín Gamarra Avenue and Grau avenue extension, in the same way to determine the sanforized conditions, a detailed inventory of the behavior was carried out. of the traffic lights at the signalized intersections of these two roads. The information processing consisted of disaggregating and grouping this information on traffic lights, geometry and traffic light conditions of each of the intersections of Agustín Gamarra Avenue and Grau avenue extension segregated for the calculation of the road capacity and service level of the traffic light intersections and not traffic lights using the deterministic method the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM 2016) which is incorporated into the SYNCHRO 10simulation software, said software allowed us to simulate the entire Agustín Gamarra Avenue and Grau avenue extension in the current state In the same way, with the data obtained from the vehicle gauges, the capacity and service levels were determined, as well as the delays, using the vehicle tracking model that uses the probabilistic method in the VISSIM 2019 software in the traffic light intersections and no traffic lights on Avenida Agustín Gamarra and Grau avenue extension. In conclusion, with the study carried out for the deterministic method (SYNCHRO 10) and the vehicle tracking method that uses the probabilistic method (VISSIM 2019), we observed that the service levels are similar.
