Postpartum depression in postpartum mothers attended at the hospitals of the Ministry of Health Cusco, 2016, a study whose objective is to analyze the relationship between postpartum depression and the sociodemographic, obstetrical and clinical characteristics of gestation in the postpartum women, Experimental, correlational, longitudinal, quantitative study, where the population were postpartum mothers who attended the hospitals of the Ministry of Health of the City of Cusco, to their care in postnatal clinic, family planning, gynecology and neonatology clinics, Total of 214 (107 puerperas from each hospital). RESULTS: Prevalence was 45%, depression levels were 26% moderate depression, 15% mild depression, and 4% with severe depression; The sociodemographic characteristics are extreme ages, basic education, with partner, they have health insurance; Obstetric characteristics are planned gestation, with prenatal care has one child and more than one child; The clinical manifestations are term gestational age, the complication during the gestation stage was present and the complication in the delivery was not present, the termination of gestation is presented as euthymic evidencing that there is severe postpartum depression, the state of the newborn it was good.
