The objective of this research was to describe the level of ambivalent sexism in young people who concluded voluntary military service in a cantonment center in Peru-2021. The scope of the study is descriptive, whose sample was made up of 286 young soldiers (251 men and 35 women) ranging in age from 18 to 21 years (260 soldiers) and from 22 to 25 (26 soldiers); and place of origin such as Cusco “department capital” (120 soldiers), provinces of Cusco (124 soldiers) and other departments (42 soldiers). To evaluate the level of ambivalent sexism, the Ambivalent Sexism Inventory (ASI) created by Glick & Fiske in 1996 was used - adapted to our location by Loayza, M. (2021). The analysis of the results was done through the Chi square statistical test of homogeneity and the Kruskal – Wallis test; finding that 72% of the population presents a moderate level of ambivalent sexism, 18.9% manifest high levels of ambivalent sexism and 9.1% low levels; by age, 73.1% of young soldiers who are between 22 and 25 years old present moderate levels of ambivalent sexism; and according to place of origin, 81% of soldiers who come from other departments show moderate levels of the variable studied; Reaching the conclusion that young soldiers present a moderate level of ambivalent sexism.
