The thesis entitled: "Analysis of the physical and mechanical properties of adobe added with fibers from PET bottles and its compression of piles and diagonal compression of walls in Chinchero – Urubamba – Cusco". Its main objective is to comparatively analyze the physical and mechanical properties of adobe added from fibers of PET bottles with the physical, mechanical and thermal properties of traditional adobe in Chinchero – Urubamba – Cusco, in order to obtain improvements in adobe. The methodology used in this research is quantitative, descriptive level with explanatory scope and experimental design, taking into account that the sampling method used was nonprobabilistic, where the population is 144 units and the sample is 144 units, of which 36 adobes were added with 0.5% by weight of PET fibers. 36 adobes were added with 1% by weight of PET fibers, 36 adobes were added with 2% by weight of PET fibers and 36 adobes were traditional adobes, based on technical standards such as NTP E-080, NTP 399.613, NTP 339.127, NTP 339.128, MTC E709 and formats for data collection, laboratory observation guides, Subsequently, the tests of the physical-mechanical properties were carried out, such as: absorption property, density, tensile strength, compressive strength, axial compressive strength of piles and diagonal compressive strength of walls, these tests were carried out after 28 days of drying of the adobe. After laboratory tests, it was determined that the optimal percentage of PET fiber addition is 2% and it was obtained that: absorption could not be evaluated by the destruction of the specimens; density decreased by 5%, tensile strength increased by 21%, compressive strength by 24%, axial compressive strength of piles by 25%; Finally, the diagonal compressive strength property is 8% and has a lower cost by 42%. We conclude that the addition of PET fibers improves the physical and mechanical properties of adobe.
