Introduction: Ectopic pregnancy, characterized by implantation of the zygote outside the uterine cavity, incidence of 2%, most frequent location in the fallopian tube in 96%. It represents one of the causes of maternal death in the first trimester, representing 4 to 10%. Objective: Determine the adjusted risk factors for ectopic pregnancy in the gynecology-obstetrics department of the Antonio Lorena Hospital, 2020-2022. Materials and methods: It is a case-control study. The sample consisted of 174 patients (87 cases and 87 controls). A case is considered to be any patient with an anatomopathological diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy and a control is considered to be any patient without an ectopic pregnancy. Results: The risk factors are: History of previous ectopic pregnancy ORc 5.51 (95% CI 1.17-25.98), history of pelvic inflammatory disease ORc: 3.27 (95% CI: 1.50- 7.12), history of abortion ORc: 2.96 (95% CI 1.39 - 6.32), history of uterine curettage ORc: 2.57 (95% CI 1.002-6.61). In the logistic regression model obtained, it has an R-squared correlation equal to 0.214%. The history of ectopic pregnancy ORa: 9.5 (95% CI: 1.9 - 47) is associated with the history of PID ORa: 4.30 (95% CI: 1.8 - 9.7) and the history of abortion ORa: 3.4 (95% CI: 1.5 - 7.7) increasing the risk of presenting an episode of ectopic pregnancy. Conclusion: The risk factors for ectopic pregnancy are: history of ectopic pregnancy, history of pelvic inflammatory disease, history of abortion, history of curettage. And with them a model was created that has an R square of 0.214.
