Estudio in vitro de la efectividad del peróxido de carbamida al 10% en la técnica de blanqueamiento dental en diferentes tiempos de aplicación 2022

Abstract

El objetivo fue evaluar la efectividad in vitro del peróxido de carbamida al 10% (Whiteness Perfect al 10% - FGM) en la técnica de blanqueamiento dental en diferentes tiempos de aplicación.

Materiales y métodos: El presente trabajo de investigación es observacional y pre- experimental, de línea prospectivo – transversal de enfoque cuantitativo. La muestra estuvo conformada por 42 piezas dentarias extraídas (caninos y premolares) distribuidos en 6 grupos (Grupo 1: 1h, Grupo 2: 2h, Grupo 3: 3h, Grupo 4: 4h, Grupo 5: 6h y Grupo 6: 8h) según el tiempo de exposición al Peróxido de Carbamida al 10% (Whiteness Perfect al 10% - FGM) por conveniencia. Las cuales fueron preparadas en la Clínica Dental Novodent Cusco E.I.R.L.; se evaluó el color antes y después (10 y 14 días) del blanqueamiento dental según el Colorímetro VITA Bleacheguide 3D – MASTER: guía de colores.

Resultados: Se halló el valor de más alto de ∆SGU a 1h diaria de exposición (6 y 4.29 a los 10 y 14 días respectivamente). El valor más bajo de ∆SGU a 3h diarias de exposición (3.43 y 1.86 a los 10 y 14 días respectivamente). Por otro lado, los valores cromáticos obtenidos a los 10 días de la exposición al agente blanqueador y aquellos obtenidos a los 14 días presenta una diferencia estadísticamente significativa (p< 0.05). Conclusión: El blanqueamiento dental con Peróxido de Carbamida al 10% (Whiteness Perfect al 10% - FGM) fue igual de efectivo aplicándolo por 2h y 8h diarias por 14 días.

The objective was to evaluate the in vitro effectiveness of 10% carbamide peroxide (Whiteness Perfect 10% - FGM) in the dental whitening technique at different application times.

Materials and methods: This research project is observational and preexperimental, prospective line

- transversal quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 42 extracted teeth (canines and premolars) distributed in 6 groups (Group 1: 1h, Group 2: 2h, Group 3: 3h, Group 4: 4h, Group 5: 6h and Group 6: 8h) according to the exposure time to 10% Carbamide Peroxide (10% Whiteness Perfect - FGM) for convenience. Which were prepared at the Novodent Cusco E.I.R.L. Dental Clinic; the color was evaluated before and after (10 and 14 days) tooth whitening, according to the VITA Bleacheguide 3D – MASTER Colorimeter: shade guide.

The results: The highest value of ∆SGU was found at 1 hour of daily exposure (6 and 4.29 at 10 and 14 days, respectively). The lowest value of ∆SGU was at 3 hours of daily exposure (3.43 and 1.86 at 10 and 14 days, respectively). On the other hand, the color values obtained 10 days after exposure to the bleaching agent and those obtained after 14 days show a statistically significant difference (p<0.05).

Conclusion: Tooth whitening with 10% carbamide peroxide (Whiteness Perfect 10% - FGM) was equally effected by applying it for 2h and 8h daily for 14 days.
