The present study aimed to determine the “LEVEL OF SELF-ESTEEM AND QUALITY OF LIFE IN PATIENTS WHO GO TO THE HEMODIALYSIS UNIT AT HOSPITAL ANTONIO LORENA CUSCO 2019“. The methodology had a descriptive-level quantitative approach with a non-experimental and crosssectional design. The sample consisted of 42 patients who received treatment in this unit. To assess the level of self-esteem, the Rosemberg Self-esteem questionnaire was applied and the SF-36 Questionnaire was used to estimate the Quality of Life. From the statistical analysis it was obtained: 46.7% of patients are over 60 years old, 56.7% are women and 93.3% come from the city of Cusco, in addition 56.7% of these patients received hemodialysis for less than a year 46.7% are married and 40% have completed high school. The dimensions that measured quality of life indicate that 73.3% of the patients rated their general health as well as their function and physical role as bad, the emotional and vitality dimensions also indicate a poor quality of life in 66.7% of In addition, 56.7% of the patients have poor physical, social and body pain function and regular mental health in 50% of the patients; concluding that in addition to 50% of patients having low self-esteem, they also have a poor quality of life in most cases; inferring that these factors negatively affect the recovery of patients, in addition to influencing the continuity of their treatments and their prolongation.
