The present research seeks to determine the correlation between the clinical facial type and the components of the smile. At present, it is not possible to conceive a dental treatment where aesthetics are not intrinsically related, but it is at this point that few studies on the natural dental characteristics found in the Peruvian population are found, thus avoiding the performance of more standardized and Predictable, as well as fast and that meet the expectations of patient and professional; That is why it is necessary to count the frequency in which the aesthetic parameters of the components of the smile are fulfilled and to be able to determine the degree of correlation with the clinical facial type exists. In a population of 50 individuals, 27 of them female and 23 of them male, a serious of 3 oral photographs were made, corresponding to a frontal view, and one of each side of the mouth, with a Canon EOS camera Rebel T5 with a fixed 50 mm lens and 2 face pictures with a Canon EOS Rebel T5 camera with a fixed macro lens of 90 mm. In the photographs the clinical facial type was evaluated, as well as the components of the smile. The results of the research revealed that there are no statistically significant correlations between the components of the smile and the clinical facial type, I feel, these aesthetic parameters perfectly applicable for any facial type; This result was obtained in both males and females.
