Expectativas de estudios de posgrado en los alumnos de internado de la escuela profesional de estomatología de la Universidad Andina del Cusco 2017 II.

Abstract

El objetivo principal del presente estudio fue Conocer las expectativas de estudios de postgrado en los alumnos de internado de la Escuela Profesional de Estomatología de la Universidad Andina del Cusco 2017 II. Metodologia: El presente trabajo de investigación es un estudio descriptivo, de campo cuantitativo, no experimental de corte transversal y observacional, con una muestra constituida por 65 estudiantes de internado de la Facultad de Estomatologia de la Universidad Andina del Cusco, se aplico una encuesta con 11 preguntas en el cual se evaluaron los siguientes aspectos datos personales, nivel de conocimiento, interés y motivos, áreas de preferencia entre especialidades y maestrías, tipo de estudio, lugar y tiempo para empezar dichos estudios. Resultados: Se realizaron preguntas con diversas escalas los cuales comprenden si, no, no sabe, tipo de especialidad, tipo de estudios de postgrado, áreas de especialidad, lugar de preferencia. Donde se obtuvo que el rango de edad de los encuestados comprende de 21 a 25 años representando un 82%, el sexo de los encuestados predominante es femenino con un 63% del total, el deseo se seguir los estudios de postgrado representa un 100%, motivo de seguir los estudios es mayor conocimiento representando el 38% y el 2% es por el gusto, el área de la odontología preferida fue Cirugía Bucal y Maxilofacial representando el 22% y el 8% representa rehabilitación oral de los encuestados, áreas en la que se desearía realizar la maestría fue docencia universitaria representando 45% y el 14% representa estadística e investigación científica, el lugar preferido para realizar los estudios de posgrado fue Brasil representando el 65% y el 15% representa a USA, por motivos económicos y personales, tiempo que tomara comenzar los estudios de postgrado con 63% fue 1 año. Conclusiones: Las expectativas de estudios de postgrado en los alumnos de internado de la Escuela Profesional de Estomatología de la Universidad Andina del Cusco 2017 II fue buena, y la motivación principalmente fue económica y personal.

The main objective of this study was to know the expectations of postgraduate studies in internship students of the Escuela Profesional de Estomatologia de la Universidad Andina del Cusco 2017 – II. Methodology: The present research work has a descriptive, quantitative, nonexperimental cross-sectional observational study, with a sample constituted by 65 internship students of the Escuela Profesional de Estomatologia de la Universidad Andina del Cusco, a survey was applied with 11 questions in which the elements that were evalueted were the data of the personal aspects, level of knowledge, interest and reasons, areas of preference between specialities and masters degrees, type of study, place and time to start such studies. Results: Questions were asked with different scales that, yes, no, do not know, type of specialty, country of preference. Where the percentage of age of the respondents ranges from 21 to 25 years, representing 82%, the sex of the predominantly female respondents with 63% of the total, the desire to continue the postgraduate studies represents 100%, reason to continue the studies it is greater knowledge representing 38% and 2% is for the taste, the area of the preferred dentistry was Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery representing 22% and 8% representing the oral rehabilitation of the respondents, areas in which it would be desired to perform the mastery of university teaching representing 45% and 14% the statistical representation and the scientific research, the preferred place to carry out postgraduate studies in Brazil represented 65% and 15% represented EE. UU., For economic and personal reasons, the time that would take to start postgraduate studies with 63% was1 year. Conclusions: The expectations of the postgraduate studies in the internship students of the Escuela Profesional de Estomatologia de la Universidad Andina del Cusco 2017 II, was good, and the motivation was mainly economic and personal.
