Frecuencia del Cenit como parámetro gingival estético, en pacientes de la Clínica Estomatológica "Luis Vallejos Santoni". Universidad Andina del Cusco - 2015.

Abstract

El cenit gingival es un parámetro estético importante que hay que tomar en cuenta a la hora de planificar cualquier tratamiento restaurador que involucre su alteración más que todo en el sector anterosuperior; ya que comúnmente este está involucrado en la estética de la sonrisa. El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo establecer la frecuencia de ubicación del CENIT como parámetro gingival estético en pacientes que acuden a la Clínica Estomatológica Luis Vallejos Santoni durante el semestre 2015-I. Este estudio se realizó con 30 pacientes de género masculino y femenino comprendidos entre las edades de 19 a 27 años de edad, a los cuales se les tomo una impresión de la arcada superior y una fotografía con abrebocas de sus dientes. Al analizar los resultados se obtuvo que la mayor frecuencia de ubicación del cenit gingival fue hacia distal de los dientes y que el mayor valor de desplazamiento lo adquieren los incisivos centrales. En conclusión la ubicación el cenit gingival se va a ubicar en tres formas y que va a depender del diente a valorar y otros factores tales como forma dental, arcada dental, biotipo de encía.

The gingival zenith is an important aesthetic parameter that needs to be considered when planning any restorative treatment which may involve its modification. This is especially true for the anterior-superior sector as this affects the aesthetic of the smile. This research aimed to establish the frequency of the location of the zenith as a gingival aesthetic parameter in patients visiting the LUIS VALLEJOS SANTONI Stomatology Clinic during the first semester of 2015. The study was conducted using 30 patients, both male & female between the ages of 19 & 27 years. For each patient an impression of the superior arcade and a photograph of the open mouth were taken. After analysing the results it was found that the location of highest frequency of the gingival zenith was towards the tooth distal area and that the major value of displacement it acquire the central incisor teeth.In conclusion, the gingival zenith was found to be located in three areas and it will depend on the individual tooth and the evaluation of other factors such as tooth form, dental arcade and the gum biotype.
