Background: The uterine leiomyomas are estrogen-dependent tumors that originate in the uterine smooth muscle. They have a frequency of 30% in women in fertile stage. 30-40% are asymptomatic, but the clinical manifestations depend on the location, size and number of uterine fibroids. Regarding the diagnosis, the gold test is considered transvaginal ultrasonography. Despite the variety of treatments, hysterectomy continues to be the most common, historically more than 90% of them are due to a benign cause. Objectives: To determine the level of correlation between histopathology and clinical-ultrasound in hysterectomized patients and myomectomized by uterine leiomyoma in two hospitals of the Cusco`s city, 2017. Design: An observational, descriptive, correlative, retrospective; the sample is census, a population of 119 patients was evaluated, taking as a source the registry of the Department of Statistics of hysterectomized patients and myomectomized by uterine leiomyomatosis of the ObstetricsGynecology service of the Regional Hospital and Adolfo Guevara Velasco National Hospital of Cusco´s city. Results: The correlation between clinical and histopathological diagnosis was correct in 64,3% with a poor concordance strength (p = 0,077, k = 0,040). Ultrasonography and histopathological diagnosis showed a correlation of 90,4 %%, with a slight concordance strength (p = 0,000, k = 0,171). Ultrasonography showed sensitivity of 90,3% and an accuracy index of 83,2%. The correlation between the three variables was 73,4% with a poor correlation force (k = 0,127). Conclusions: The clinical diagnosis had poor correlation and the ultrasonography correlated mild with the histopathological diagnosis for uterine myomatosis.
