The present investigation had as general objective to determine to what extent the predictive validity of the entrance exam is related to the level of academic performance in the students of the Faculty of Engineering at the Universidad Andina del Cusco, 2019 -2020. The methodology applied was descriptive - correlational in scope, non-experimental design, the study population was made up of 171 students registered in the academic semester 2019-I, 2019-II and 2020-I, the study sample was non-probabilistic, the technique The data collection form was the data collection form and the documentary analysis form was used as an instrument. Reaching the following conclusion: The inferential Chi Square statistic obtained as a result X2 = 0.008 of significance, thus accepting the alternate hypothesis (Ha) and rejecting the null hypothesis (Ho), concluding that the results of the admission exam are related to performance. academic study of the students of the Faculty of Engineering of the Andean University of Cusco. The grades obtained in the admission exam by 50.9% of the students of the Faculty of Engineering of the Universidad Andina del Cusco were poor, followed by the regular grades of 27.5% of the students. The maximum admission score was 1035 points (18.32) and the minimum score was 237.50 (4.20). In relation to the academic performance of the students in the periods 2019 to 2020, they mention that 62.6% of the students obtained a "good" academic performance with a regular tendency of 17%. Likewise, a maximum score of 18.27 and a minimum of 0 points were obtained, with respect to professional schools it can be indicated that systems engineering students obtained a very good academic performance. The Chi Square significance values were 0.031, where I accept the alternate hypothesis (Hi) and reject the null hypothesis (Ho), concluding that the results of the Academic Aptitude test do have a significant relationship with academic performance. The Chi Square significance values were 0.039, where I accept the alternative hypothesis (Ha) and reject the null hypothesis (Ho), concluding that the results of the knowledge admission exam do have a significant relationship with academic performance.
