In the following research, it was possible to comparatively analyze the physical properties (warping, dimensional variation, absorption and suction) and mechanical properties (compression and bending resistance) of ecological bricks added with cement, aggrebind polymer additive and baked artisanal bricks. For the masonry units, a dosage of the raw material of clay soil, clay, sand was used in proportions of 5:3:5 parts of material and using 11% of water by total weight of the sample; This was determined in the standard proctor test that was performed on the material sample. The ecological masonry units were manufactured based on raw materials (sand, clay and water), added with the soil-cement mixture in percentages of 6% by dry weight of the sample and adding the stabilizing polymer aggrebind in percentage between 2.2% in dry weight of the sample, the manufacturing process of the masonry units was carried out entirely manually, using a metal mold from the Cinva Ram machine, in terms of the tests to determine the physical properties (warping, dimensional variation, absorption and suction) the Peruvian technical standard NTP 399.613, NTP E0.70 for masonry was used and to determine the mechanical properties (resistance to compression and bending) the NTP E0.70 was used for the fired units and the Standard E0.80 construction with earth, in addition, the Spanish standard UNE 41410 compressed earth blocks was also used for ecological bricks, for a total of 150 masonry units. For the physical and mechanical properties shown by the ecological bricks added with cement we have values of the percentage of dimensional variation in terms of its length 0.46%, for the width 1.00% and for the height in -0.17%, warping of 1.54 mm for its face A and 1.33mm for its side B, absorption percentage of 13.04%, suction of 41.67 gr/cm2/min, compression resistance of 10.96 kg/cm2 and flexion of 2.92 kg/cm2. The physical and mechanical properties of the ecological bricks added with aggrebind present values of the percentage of dimensional variation in terms of their length, 1% for width and -0.75% for height, warpage of 1.59mm for face A and 0.75 mm for its B face, suction of 37.93 gr/cm2/min, compressive strength of 16.15 kg/cm2 and bending of 3.98 kg/cm2, the fired artisanal bricks present values of the percentage of dimensional variation in terms of their length -0.17% , for the width -3.30% and for the height at 1.00%, warpage of 1.54mm for its face A and 1.33mm for its face B, absorption percentage of 15.68%, suction of 42.99 gr/cm2/min, compression resistance of 24.86 kg/cm2 and flexion of 7.94 kg/cm2.
