Objective: To determine the factors associated with retinopathy of prematurity, in the neonatology service - Hospital Regional Cusco 2021-2022. The research method was descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional, the technique was the observation that considered 97 medical records of newborns in the neonatology service of the Regional Hospital of Cusco, from June 2021 to May 2022. The results found showed that: 67% of premature newborns are male, 45.4% of newborns are moderately premature, 63.9% of premature newborns have low weight between 1500-2499 grams, 63.9% of newborns went to Through one type of delivery, 33.3% of newborns received oxygen therapy through binasal cannula in a time of 0-7 days. In relation to retinopathy of prematurity, it was possible to identify that: 54.6% of newborns present a diagnosis of this pathology. The identified factors associated with retinopathy of prematurity were: the weight of the newborn with a value of p=0.036, the administration time of oxygen therapy with a value of p=0.005. In conclusion, the factors associated with retinopathy of prematurity were: birth weight between 1500-2499 grams, and oxygen therapy in the exposure time greater than 7 days.
