Abstract: La presente investigación intitulada “POTENCIAL TURISTICO Y DESARROLLO
SOSTENIBLE DEL DISTRITO DE PITUMARCA DE LA CIUDAD DEL CUSCO
2023, se basa teniendo en cuenta que la Región del Cusco es el destino turístico más
importante de nuestro país, por albergar a la ciudad inca de Machupicchu una de las siete
maravillas del mundo moderno. La Región del Cusco con sus 13 provincias es
privilegiada en cuanto a la enorme cantidad de atractivos y recursos turísticos naturales y
culturales, siendo el distrito de Pitumarca Provincia de Canchis un espacio geográfico que
acoge a la fascinante Montaña de Siete Colores y otros tantos impresionantes recursos
turísticos, convirtiéndolo así, en un distrito con enorme potencial turístico con grandes
posibilidades para lograr un desarrollo sostenible del turismo. El objetivo de la
investigación es analizar la relación que existe entre el potencial turístico y desarrollo
sostenible del Distrito de Pitumarca de la ciudad del Cusco, 2023. La metodología
corresponde al tipo de investigación básico, de alcance correlacional y de diseño no
experimental, la muestra está conformada por 55 pobladores del distrito de Pitumarca.
Demostrándose la relación entre el potencial turístico con un 60% y el desarrollo
sostenible con un 58.2%. En conclusión, el turismo puede ser una herramienta poderosa
para impulsar el desarrollo económico y social, así como para conservar y preservar el
patrimonio cultural y natural. Sin embargo, es esencial abordar este potencial con un
enfoque sostenible, considerando la protección del medio ambiente, la equidad social y
el respeto a la cultura local. La educación ambiental desempeña un papel clave para
informar a los turistas sobre la importancia de preservar los ecosistemas y adoptar
prácticas de viaje responsables.
This research titled "TOURISM POTENTIAL AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PITUMARCA DISTRICT OF THE CITY OF CUSCO 2023" emphasizes that the Cusco Region is the most important tourist destination in Peru, mainly due to the Inca city of Machupicchu, which is one of the seven wonders of the modern world. The research demonstrates a relationship between tourist potential with 60% and sustainable development with 58.2%. Thus, it is imperative to tap into the potential of tourism as a powerful tool to promote economic and social development and conserve and preserve cultural and natural heritage.
