The present work of investigation, studies samples of clayey soil in natural state and samples of soils added with 5%, 10% and 15% of Rice Husk Ash (RHA), with the purpose of stabilizing the soil present in the Via Fundo Molleray located in the district of San Sebastian Province of Cusco at the level of Subgrade, by means of an optimum proportion in weight of RHA. To this end, material characterization tests were carried out such as: Granulometry, Liquid Limit, Plastic Boundary, Modified Proctor and CBR in the laboratory following the MTC, ASTM and AASHTO standards. Arriving to determine that the optimal dosage of RHA is 5% with respect to the weight of the soil, which allows to obtain a floor for structural use of an excellent Subgrade with CBR average of 32%, improving the 8.3% of CBR of the sample of natural soil , this increase in CBR is due to the formation of cementing compounds in stabilized soils as a result of the reaction between the SiO2 contained in the RHA and the chemical components of the clay soil; It was also observed that for percentages higher than 5% of addition of RHA, the CBR of the soil begins to decrease due to the excess stabilizing material creating larger particles with larger voids altering the nature of the soil.
