The present investigation is focused on the analysis and improvement proposals in the Chinllahuacho - Challabamba Highway of the district of Limatambo, Province of Anta, Cusco Region applying the methodology of Road Safety Inspection of the road safety manual mtc- 2017, in order to improve the performance and use of the national road pe-3s, it is for this reason that a road safety inspection was carried out in the section from Chinllahuacho to Challabamba to make a proposal for improvement taking as tools the study of the checklists, Topographic survey with Drone, Excel tables of findings and post-inspection inspection sheets through which the faults presented by the Chinllahuacho to Challabamba highway could be evidenced. Likewise, the application of a road safety inspection based on the manual mtc-2017, involves the collection of data in-situ (field) by means of the survey with Drone and the inspection sheets provided by the manual mtc-2017, systematic verification of the entire Pe-3s road to identify potential problems. The second form of data collection was by means of instruments of own creation such as technical sheets which contained: the types of cars, the speeds with which they handle, the types of signalling that is handled in the area, etc.; information was also obtained on the level of accidents that occurred in the area from 2006 to 2022, We processed them in Microsoft Excel and obtained tables in which we pointed out the most critical points of the road and the negligence of people who drive recklessly without respecting the road signs placed in the area. It is so that "Performing a road safety inspection using the mtc - 2017 we will optimize the road safety of the road Chinllahuacho to Challabamba of the Limatambo District, Anta province of the Cusco region". according to the results in the table of findings of the Road Safety Inspection observed in the annexes and in Chapter IV where the post-inspection analysis is found, which refers to the speed of traffic on the Chinllahuacho to Challabamba highway and refer to the post-inspection percentage of the Chinllahuacho to Challabamba highway respectively through a Road Safety Inspection, where proposals for improvement were made which are indicated in section 4.3 all these are directly related to the deficiencies found in the table of findings of the Road Safety Inspection based on the "MTC Road Safety Manual - 2017" which uses the inspection sheets to determine the current state of a road infrastructure, on the other hand according to the data observed in the speed study carried out on the road Chinllahuacho to Challabamba (16+000 km), in Chapter IV shows the maximum speed allowed making the road more unsafe for the pedestrian, so that the maximum speed allowed is respected, for which speed reducers and signalling will be implemented. With the results obtained it was possible to propose improvements along the road Chinllahuacho - Challabamba (16+000 km), which will allow us in the future to solve the problems of accidents and vehicle conflict presented by this road, according to studies carried out using statistical tables that allows us to see what actions are necessary to signal and/or have a constant maintenance of the road. Finally, it was determined because there are accidents in the road under study and it was also compared if the road is in accordance with the current manual of geometric design of 2018 established for the elaboration of roads in Peru.
