In the world of the transformation of companies and organizations, the term 'Lean Thinking' has acquired such a large dimension that today, at the same time, it makes reference to the title of a famous book, a method of work or even a way of thinking. Companies from all sectors of activity, services, as well as industrial companies from all over the world follow the trail of Japanese companies, especially Toyota. Lean thinking starts from the idea that all processes can be continuously improved, with the aim of eliminating or correcting those activities that do not add value to the product or final customer. The research work aims to determine how Lean Thinking could improve the payment process to suppliers in the company EPS SEDACUSCO S.A. on the Treasury area, for this a diagnosis of the current payment process was made and a process improvement based on Lean Thinking is offered. Where are integrated techniques, concepts and tools that are probably well known but rarely applied, which are complemented and integrated into a large system that goes beyond the payment process, looking first and foremost to eliminate waste or redundancy and continuously improve. The principles of Lean Thinking are the following: 1) Specify the value for the client: Keep in mind that the value can only be defined by the client and satisfy the needs of the client. 2) Analysis of the value flow: What does not add value is waste and must be eliminated. Focus on what adds value. 3) Create a continuous flow: Link all stages without creating delays.4) Pull System: Link production with demand.5) Continuous Improvement: Both the time and the client's expectations change, therefore, opportunities for improvement must always be sought. It must be taken into account that Lean Thinking is not just a set of tools, it is a work philosophy where everything is possible.
